Professor Peter Shergold chaired the Review Panel. This report was published in June 2020. The purpose of the Review was to provide COAG’s (Council of Australian Governments) Education Council with advice and recommendations on “how senior secondary students can better understand and be enabled to choose the most appropriate pathways to support their transition into work, education and/or training.” It is a comprehensive report, with an informative Executive Summary, which proposes eight key recommendations and a new national approach to senior secondary education.

Children need to play and have fun! Just because our students are currently accessing on-line learning doesn’t mean it can’t be fun! Playing games is good for children: it develops sequencing skills, concentration and creativity. Playing games also adds a spark to the lesson and builds more resilient learners. Bring your favourite on-line games or activities and share them with your AEU colleagues. Let’s add to our bag of tricks for remote learning!
