Ancient Australia: Source Analysis

Primary Sources

Primary sources provide direct or firsthand evidence about an event, object, person, or work of art. Primary sources comprise the “raw data” of history.  Primary sources can be written or non-written (sound, pictures, artefacts, etc.).

Secondary Sources

Secondary sources involve analysis, synthesis, interpretation, or evaluation of primary sources and are considered to be persuasive. They often attempt to describe or explain primary sources.
